Baby's First Blog Post

A few hours ago, I figured it was about time to start a blog.  Why, you ask?  Why not, I say.  I don't know if I'll really take to blogging.  I'm not even sure this won't be my only post.  We'll see.  For the moment anyway, here I am.

Anyhow, it took me a while to come up with a blog address/title that was still available.  Seeking Cheesiness comes from an altered verse of Closer to Fine by the Indigo Girls.  Some of the counselors from the summer camp I attended as a kid edited out the song's references to alcohol so that we could sing it at campfire.  For whatever reason, I have always preferred this camp-appropriate version, and always substitute the censored lyrics when I sing along with the radio.  If you're an Indigo Girls fan, you might get a kick out of the G-rated verse:

I stopped by Chuck E. Cheese at 3am

To seek solace in a pizza or possibly a friend

And I woke up with a tummyache like my tummy against a board

Twice as hungry as I'd been the night before

And I went in seeking cheesiness

And if you're wondering if I'd really work for cheese, the answer is yes.  Especially mozzarella.
